Verdrukking | Affliction

Isaiah 3:1-26
[1]  For look, the Master, יהוה of hosts, is turning aside from Yerushalayim and from Yehuḏah the stock and the store, all the supply of bread and all the supply of water;
[2]  the mighty man and the man of battle, the judge and the prophet, and the diviner and the elder;
[3]  the commander of fifty and the highly respected man, and the counsellor and the skilled craftsman, and the clever enchanter.
[4]  “And I shall make youths their heads, and children shall rule over them.
[5]  And the people shall exert pressure, man on man, man on his neighbour; the young rise up against the older, and the lightly esteemed against the highly esteemed.”
[6]  When a man takes hold of his brother in the house of his father, by the garment, and say, “Come, be a chief over us, and let this ruin be under your hand,”
[7]  he shall swear in that day, saying, “I am not a healer, for in my house is neither bread nor garment; do not make me a chief of the people.”
[8]  For Yerushalayim has stumbled, and Yehuḏah has fallen, because their tongue and their doings are against יהוה, to provoke the eyes of His esteem.
[9]  The look on their faces witnesses against them, and they declare their sin as Seḏom; they do not hide it. Woe to their being! For they have brought evil upon themselves.
[10]  “Say to the righteous it is well, for they eat the fruit of their doings.
[11]  “Woe to the wrong – evil! For the reward of his hand is done to him.
[12]  “My people! Youths exert pressure on them, and women rule over them. O My people! Your leaders lead you astray1, and swallow the way of your paths.” Footnote: 1See also 9:16.
[13]  יהוה shall stand up to plead, and is standing to judge the peoples.
[14]  יהוה enters into judgment with the elders of His people and its heads, “It is you who have eaten up the vineyard, the plunder of the poor is in your houses.
[15]  “What do you mean by crushing My people and grinding the faces of the poor?” declares the Master, יהוה of hosts.
[16]  And יהוה says, “Because the daughters of Tsiyon are haughty, and walk with outstretched necks and seductive eyes, walking and mincing as they go, making a jingling with their feet,
[17]  therefore יהוה shall smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Tsiyon, and יהוה expose their nakedness.”
[18]  In that day יהוה takes away the finery of the anklets, and the headbands, and the crescents,
[19]  the pendants, the bracelets and the veils,
[20]  the headdresses, and the leg ornaments, and the sashes, and the perfume bottles, and the amulets,
[21]  the rings, and the nose jewels,
[22]  the costly robes, and the cloaks, and the shawls, and the purses,
[23]  the mirrors, and the fine linen, and the turbans, and the large veils.
[24]  And it shall be: Instead of a sweet fragrance, a smell of decay; and instead of a belt, a rope; and instead of well-set hair, baldness; and instead of a festal robe, a girding of sackcloth; and branding instead of loveliness.
[25]  Your men shall fall by the sword, and your strength in battle.
[26]  And her gates shall lament and mourn, and she, deserted, shall sit on the ground.

Vanweë Julle Ongeregtighede | Because Of Your Iniquities

Isaiah 43:1-28
[1]  But now, thus said יהוה, your Creator, O Yaʽaqoḇ, and He who formed you, O Yisra’ĕl, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name, you are Mine.
[2]  “When you pass through the waters, I am with you; and through rivers, they do not overflow you. When you walk through fire, you are not scorched, and a flame does not burn you.
[3]  “For I am יהוה your Elohim, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, your Saviour; I gave Mitsrayim for your ransom, Kush and Seḇa in your place.
[4]  “Since you were precious in My eyes, you have been esteemed, and I have loved you. And I give men in your place, and peoples for your life.
[5]  “Do not fear, for I am with you. I shall bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west.
[6]  “I shall say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth –
[7]  all those who are called by My Name, whom I have created, formed, even made for My esteem.”
[8]  He shall bring out a blind people who have eyes, and deaf ones who have ears.
[9]  All the nations shall be assembled, and the peoples be gathered. Who among them declares this, and show us former events? Let them give their witnesses, to be declared right; or let them hear and say, “It is truth.”
[10]  “You are My witnesses,” declares יהוה, “And My servant whom I have chosen, so that you know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no Ěl formed, nor after Me there is none.
[11]  “I, I am יהוה, and besides Me there is no saviour.
[12]  “I, I have declared and saved, and made known, and there was no foreign mighty one among you. And you are My witnesses,” declares יהוה, “that I am Ěl.
[13]  “Even from the day I am He, and no one delivers out of My hand. I work, and who turns it back?”
[14]  Thus said יהוה, your Redeemer, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, “For your sake I shall send to Baḇel, and bring them all down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships.
[15]  “I am יהוה, your Set-apart One, Creator of Yisra’ĕl, your Sovereign.”
[16]  Thus said יהוה, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters,
[17]  who brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power (they lie down together, they do not rise, they have been extinguished, they have been quenched like a wick):
[18]  “Do not remember the former events, nor consider the events of old.
[19]  “See, I am doing what is new, let it now spring forth. Do you not know it? I am even making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
[20]  “The beast of the field esteems Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I have given waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen,
[21]  this people I have formed for Myself, let them relate My praise.
[22]  “But you have not called on Me, O Yaʽaqoḇ, for you have been weary of Me, O Yisra’ĕl.
[23]  “You have not brought Me the sheep for your burnt offerings, nor have you esteemed Me with your slaughterings. I have not caused you to serve with grain offerings, nor wearied you with incense.
[24]  “You have not bought Me sweet cane with silver, nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your slaughterings. You have only burdened Me with your sins, you have wearied Me with your crookednesses.
[25]  “I, I am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and remember your sins no more.
[26]  “Remind Me, let us enter into judgment, together; relate, that you might be declared right.
[27]  “Your first father sinned, and your interpreters have transgressed against Me.
[28]  “So I have profaned the chief ones of the set-apart place, and I have delivered up Yaʽaqoḇ to the curse, and Yisra’ĕl to scorn.

Jeremiah 43:1-13
[1]  And it came to be, when Yirmeyahu had ended speaking all these words to all the people – all the words of יהוה their Elohim, for which יהוה their Elohim had sent him to them –
[2]  that Azaryah son of Hoshayah, and Yoḥanan son of Qarĕaḥ, and all the proud men spoke, saying to Yirmeyahu, “You are speaking a lie! יהוה our Elohim has not sent you to say, ‘Do not go to Mitsrayim to sojourn there.’
[3]  “For Baruḵ son of Nĕriyah is moving you against us, to give us into the hand of the Chaldeans, to put us to death or exile us to Baḇel.”
[4]  So Yoḥanan son of Qarĕaḥ, and all the commanders of the army, and all the people disobeyed the voice of יהוה, to stay in the land of Yehuḏah.
[5]  And Yoḥanan son of Qarĕaḥ and all the commanders of the army took all the remnant of Yehuḏah who had returned to dwell in the land of Yehuḏah, from all nations where they had been driven –
[6]  the men, and the women, and the children, and the sovereign’s daughters, and every being whom Neḇuzaraḏan, chief of the guard, had left with Geḏalyahu son of Aḥiqam, son of Shaphan, and Yirmeyahu the prophet, and Baruḵ son of Nĕriyahu.
[7]  So they went to the land of Mitsrayim, for they disobeyed the voice of יהוה. And they went as far as Taḥpanḥes.
[8]  And the word of יהוה came to Yirmeyahu in Taḥpanḥes, saying,
[9]  “Take large stones in your hand, and you shall hide them before the eyes of the men of Yehuḏah, in the clay in the brick courtyard which is at the entrance to Pharaoh’s house in Taḥpanḥes.
[10]  “Then you shall say to them, ‘Thus said יהוה of hosts, the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, “See, I am sending, and I shall bring Neḇuḵaḏretstsar the sovereign of Baḇel, My servant. And I shall set his throne above these stones that I have hidden. And he shall spread his canopy over them.
[11]  “And he shall come and smite the land of Mitsrayim, bringing death to those appointed for death, and captivity to those for captivity, and the sword to those for the sword.
[12]  “And he shall set fire to the houses of the mighty ones of Mitsrayim. And he shall burn them and take them captive. And he shall cover himself with the land of Mitsrayim, as a shepherd puts on his garment, and he shall go out from there in peace.
[13]  “And he shall break the stone pillars of the House of the Sun which are in the land of Mitsrayim, and he shall burn the houses of the mighty ones of the Mitsrites with fire.” ’ ”

'n Pleidooi | A Pleading Cause

Psalms 70:1-5

U is my hulp en my redder; Elohim, vertoef tog nie!

Psalms 74:1-23

[5]  Dit lyk soos wanneer iemand byle omhoog hef in ‘n digte plek bome.

[11]  Waarom trek U u hand, ja, u regterhand, terug? Trek dit uit u boesem! Vernietig!

Psalms 70:1-5
[1]  O Elohim, deliver me! Hasten to my help, O
[2]  Let those who seek my life Be ashamed and abashed, Let those who are desiring my evil Be turned back and humiliated.
[3]  Let those who say, “Aha, aha!” Be turned back because of their shame.
[4]  Let all those who seek You Rejoice and be glad in You; And let those who love Your deliverance always say, “Let Elohim be made great!”
[5]  But I am poor and needy; Hasten to me, O Elohim! You are my help and my deliverer; O יהוה, do not delay.

Psalms 74:1-23
[1]  O Elohim, why do You forever reject us? Why does Your displeasure smoke Against the sheep of Your pasture?
[2]  Remember Your congregation. You did purchase of old, The tribe of Your inheritance. You did redeem, This Mount Tsiyon where You have dwelt.
[3]  Lift up Your steps to the endless ruins; The enemy has done all evil in the set-apart place1. Footnote: 1Ps. 79.
[4]  Your adversaries have roared In the midst of Your meeting places; They have set up their own signs as signs.
[5]  It seems as if one had lifted up Axes among the thick trees.
[6]  And now all its carved work, They have broken down with axe and hammer.
[7]  They have set fire to Your set-apart place, They have profaned the dwelling place of Your Name to the ground.
[8]  They said in their hearts, “Let us suppress them altogether.” They burned all the meeting places of Ěl in the land.
[9]  We do not see our signs, There is no longer a prophet, Nor any among us who knows how long.
[10]  O Elohim, how long would the adversary reproach? Would the enemy despise Your Name forever1? Footnote: 1v.18.
[11]  Why do You hold back Your hand, even Your right hand? From the midst of Your bosom – end it!
[12]  For Elohim is my Sovereign from of old, Working deliverance in the midst of the earth.
[13]  You divided the sea by Your might; You broke the heads of the sea serpents in the waters.
[14]  You broke the heads of Liwiathan in pieces, You made him food for the people Living in the wilderness.
[15]  You did cleave open the fountain and the flood, You did dry up mighty rivers.
[16]  The day is Yours, the night is Yours too, You have established the light and the sun.
[17]  You have set all the borders of the earth, You have made summer and winter.
[18]  Remember this: the enemy has reproached יהוה, And a foolish people has despised Your Name1. Footnote: 1v. 10.
[19]  Do not give the being of Your turtledove to the wild beast! Do not forget the life of Your afflicted ones forever.
[20]  Look to the covenant, For the dark places of the earth are filled With haunts of violence.
[21]  Let not the crushed one return ashamed! Let the poor and needy praise Your Name.
[22]  Arise, O Elohim, plead Your own cause, Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily.
[23]  Do not forget the voice of Your enemies, The uproar of those rising up against You increases continually.

The Destruction Of The Beast

The salvation of Elohim has come and who can abide therein?  Is it not for the sake of His elect, whom you persecute, scold and mock daily?

Nahum 3:1-19
[1]  Woe to the city of blood! All of it is a lie, filled with plunder, the prey is not lacking.
[2]  The sound of a whip and the sound of rattling wheels, of galloping horses, of jolting chariots,
[3]  mounted horsemen with bright sword and glittering spear, and many wounded, and a mass of dead bodies, and no end of corpses, they stumble over the corpses –
[4]  because of the many whorings of the well-favoured whore, the mistress of sorceries, who sells nations by her whorings, and clans by her sorceries.
[5]  “See, I am against you,” declares יהוה of hosts, “and shall lift up your skirts over your face, and shall show nations your nakedness, and reigns your shame.
[6]  “And I shall cast abominations upon you, and treat you as foolish, and make a spectacle of you.
[7]  “And it shall be that all who see you flee from you, and say, ‘Ninewĕh is laid waste! Who does mourn for her?’ Where do I seek comforters for you?”
[8]  Are you better than No Amon, who dwelt by the Nile-streams, with waters around her, whose rampart was like the sea, whose wall was like the sea?
[9]  Kush and Mitsrayim were her strength, even unlimited. Put and Luḇim were your helpers.
[10]  Yet she was exiled, she went into captivity. At the head of every street her young children were dashed to pieces. Lots were cast for her esteemed men, and all her great men were bound in chains.
[11]  You too are to become drunk, you are to go into hiding. You too are to seek refuge from the enemy.
[12]  All your strongholds are fig trees with ripened figs, when shaken they shall fall into the mouth of the eater.
[13]  See, your people in your midst are women! The gates of your land shall be opened wide to your enemies. Fire shall consume your gate bars.
[14]  Draw for yourself water for the siege! Strengthen your defences! Go into the clay and tread the mortar, lay hold of the brick mould!
[15]  There a fire shall consume you, a sword cut you off, eat you up like a locust. Make yourself many like the locust, make yourself many like the swarming locust!
[16]  You have increased your merchants more than the stars of the heavens. The locust shall strip off and fly away.
[17]  Your officials are like the locusts, and your marshals are like the great grasshoppers, which settle in the hedges on a cold day – when the sun rises they flee away, and the place where they are is unknown.
[18]  Your shepherds have slumbered, O sovereign of Ashshur, your nobles lie down to rest. Your people are scattered on the mountains, and no one gathers them.
[19]  Your injury has no healing, your wound is grievous. All who hear news of you shall clap their hands over you. For over whom did your evil not pass continually?

Atoom Bom Aanval | Atomic Bomb Attack

Last night Elohim gave me Isaiah 34 with accompanied intro:

The first bowl on the earth
the second bowl on the sea
the third bowl on the rivers
the fourth bowl on the sun
the fifth bowl on the beast
the sixth bowl on the stars
the seventh bowl on the air

And the earth turned grey
sea turned black
The rivers turned red
The sun turned cold
The beast turned pale
The stars turned fast
The air turned to poison

Isaiah 34:1-17
[1]  Come near, you gentiles, to hear. And listen, you people! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, the world and all its offspring.
[2]  For the displeasure of יהוה is against all the gentiles1, and His wrath against all their divisions. He shall put them under the ban, He shall give them over to the slaughter, Footnote: 1See footnote Jer. 30:11.
[3]  and their slain be thrown out, and their stench rise from their corpses. And mountains shall be melted with their blood.
[4]  And all the host of the heavens shall rot away. And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll, and all their host fade like a leaf fading on the vine, and like the fading one of a fig tree.
[5]  “For My sword shall be drenched in the heavens. Look, it comes down on Eḏom, and on the people of My curse, for judgment.
[6]  “The sword of יהוה shall be filled with blood, it shall be made overflowing with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams. For יהוה has a slaughtering in Botsrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Eḏom.
[7]  “And wild oxen shall come down with them, and young bulls with bulls. And their land shall be drenched with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.”
[8]  For it is the day of the vengeance of יהוה, the year of recompense for the cause of Tsiyon.
[9]  And its streams shall be turned into tar, and its dust into sulphur, and its land shall become burning tar,
[10]  that is not quenched night or day, its smoke going up forever. From generation to generation it lies waste, no one passes through it forever and ever,
[11]  so that the pelican and the porcupine possess it, also the owl and the raven dwell in it. And He shall stretch out over it the line of formlessness and stones of emptiness.
[12]  Its caves, with no one in them, is called a reign, but all its rulers have vanished.
[13]  And thorns shall come up in its palaces, nettles and brambles in its strongholds. And it shall be a home for jackals, a courtyard for ostriches.
[14]  And the wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the jackals, and the shaggy goat call to its companion. The night creature shall also settle there, and shall find for herself a place of rest.
[15]  The arrow snake shall nest there, and lay eggs and hatch, and gather them under her shadow. There too the vultures shall gather, each with its mate.
[16]  Search from the book of יהוה, and read: not one of these shall be missing, not one shall be without a mate, for He has commanded my mouth. And His Spirit shall gather them.
[17]  And He shall cast the lot for them, and His hand shall divide it among them with a measuring line – they possess it forever, from generation to generation they dwell in it.

Die Skeibrief | The Divorce Letter

Jesaja 50:1-11
[8]  Hy is naby wat My reg verskaf. Wie wil met My ‘n regsaak begin? —laat ons saam optree! Wie is my teëparty? —laat hom nader kom na My toe!
[9]  Kyk, Jahweh help My: wie is dit wat My kan veroordeel?

Isaiah 50:1-11
[1]  Thus says יהוה, “Where is the certificate of your mother’s divorce, whom I have put away? Or which of My creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Look, you were sold for your crookednesses, and your mother was put away for your transgressions.
[2]  “When I came, why was there no one? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Was My hand too short to redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? See, by My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness; their fish stink for there is not water, and die of thirst.
[3]  “I clothe the heavens with darkness, and I make sackcloth their covering.”
[4]  The Master יהוה has given Me the tongue of taught ones, that I should know to help the weary with a word. He wakes Me morning by morning, he wakes My ear to hear as taught ones.
[5]  The Master יהוה has opened My ear, and I was not rebellious, nor did I turn away.
[6]  I gave My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard, I did not hide My face from humiliation and spitting.
[7]  And the Master יהוה helps Me, therefore I shall not be humiliated. So I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I am not put to shame.
[8]  Near is He who declares Me right. Who would contend with Me? Let us stand together. Who is My adversary? Let him come near Me.
[9]  See, the Master יהוה helps Me. Who would declare Me wrong? See, all of them wear out like a garment, a moth eats them.
[10]  Who among you is fearing יהוה, obeying the voice of His Servant, that has walked in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the Name of יהוה and lean upon his Elohim!
[11]  See, all you who light a fire, girding on burning arrows: walk in the light of your fire and in the burning arrows you have lit. From My hand you shall have this: you shall lie down in grief!

The End Of The Rule Of The Watchers Who Did Not Keep Their First Estate:

Deuteronomy 12:1-32
[1]  “These are the laws and right-rulings which you guard to do in the land which יהוה Elohim of your fathers is giving you to possess, all the days that you live on the soil.
[2]  “Completely destroy all the places where the nations which you are dispossessing served their mighty ones, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree.
[3]  “And you shall break down their altars, and smash their pillars, and burn their Ashĕrim with fire. And you shall cut down the carved images of their mighty ones and shall destroy their name1 out of that place. Footnote: 1The names of the gentile deities (mighty ones).
[4]  “Do not do so to יהוה your Elohim,
[5]  but seek the place which יהוה your Elohim chooses, out of all your tribes, to put His Name there, for His Dwelling Place, and there you shall enter.
[6]  “And there you shall take your burnt offerings, and your offerings, and your tithes, and the contributions of your hand, and your vowed offerings, and your voluntary offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock.
[7]  “And there you shall eat before יהוה your Elohim, and shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which יהוה your Elohim has blessed you.
[8]  “Do not do as we are doing here today – each one doing whatever is right in his own eyes1. Footnote: 1See Jud. 17:6 & 21:25.
[9]  “Because you have not yet entered the rest and the inheritance which יהוה your Elohim is giving you.
[10]  “But you shall pass over the Yardĕn, and shall dwell in the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you to inherit, and He shall give you rest from all your enemies round about, and you shall dwell in safety.
[11]  “And it shall be, that unto the place which יהוה your Elohim chooses to make His Name dwell there, there you are to bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, and your offerings, and your tithes, and the contributions of your hand, and all your choice offerings which you vow to יהוה.
[12]  “And you shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim, you and your sons and your daughters, and your male servants and your female servants, and the Lĕwite who is within your gates, since he has no portion nor inheritance with you.
[13]  “Guard yourself that you do not offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see,
[14]  except in the place which יהוה chooses, in one of your tribes, there you are to offer your burnt offerings, and there you are to do all that I command you.
[15]  “Only, whatever your being desires you shall slaughter and eat, according to the blessing of יהוה your Elohim which He has given you, within all your gates. The unclean and the clean do eat of it, of the gazelle and the deer alike.
[16]  “Only, the blood you do not eat, pour it on the earth like water.
[17]  “You are not allowed to eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or of the firstlings of your herd or your flock, or of any of your offerings which you vow, or of your voluntary offerings, or of the contribution of your hand.
[18]  “But eat them before יהוה your Elohim, in the place which יהוה your Elohim chooses, you and your son and your daughter, and your male servant and your female servant, and the Lĕwite who is within your gates. And you shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim in all that you put your hands to.
[19]  “Guard yourself that you do not forsake the Lĕwite as long as you live in your land.
[20]  “When יהוה your Elohim enlarges your border as He has promised you, and you say, ‘Let me eat meat,’ because you long to eat meat, you eat as much meat as your being desires.
[21]  “When the place where יהוה your Elohim chooses to put His Name is too far from you, then you shall slaughter from your herd and from your flock which יהוה has given you, as I have commanded you, and you shall eat within your gates as much as your being desires.
[22]  “Only, as the gazelle and the deer are eaten, so you are to eat of it. The unclean and the clean alike eat of it.
[23]  “Only, be firm not to eat the blood, for the blood is the life, do not eat the life with the meat.
[24]  “Do not eat it, you pour it on the earth like water.
[25]  “Do not eat it, that it might be well with you and your children after you, when you do what is right in the eyes of יהוה.
[26]  “Only, the set-apart gifts which you have, and your vowed offerings, you are to take up and go to the place which יהוה chooses.
[27]  “And you shall make your burnt offerings, the meat and the blood, on the altar of יהוה your Elohim. And the blood of your offerings is poured out on the altar of יהוה your Elohim, and you eat the meat.
[28]  “Guard, and obey all these words which I command you, that it might be well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the eyes of יהוה your Elohim.
[29]  “When יהוה your Elohim does cut off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land,
[30]  guard yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire about their mighty ones, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their mighty ones? And let me do so too.’1 Footnote: 1See also 18:9, Lev. 18:3, Jer.10:2, Ezek. 11:12 & 20:32, Eph. 4:17, and 1 Peter 4:3
[31]  “Do not do so to יהוה your Elohim, for every abomination which יהוה hates they have done to their mighty ones, for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their mighty ones.
[32]  “All the words I am commanding you, guard to do it – do not add to it nor take away from it.1 Footnote: 1See also 4:2, Prov. 30:6, Rev. 22:18-19.
